Company History

Extreme Tanning Centre was started in 1998 in Barrie, Ontario.  In 2004 Extreme Tanning was purchased by the Mitchell family, at the time new to Barrie.  When first purchased, the salon had been neglected so some tender loving care was required.  Within no time, and with some attention to detail, Extreme Tanning was transformed,and booming.  In 2007, a competing tanning salon came up for sale, and the Mitchell's swooped in and purchased it.  Over the period of a few weeks, they had transformed the salon into the beautiful second location of Extreme Tanning. In 2009 Extreme Tanning opened its 3rd location in Barrie' South End on Big Bay Point Road, the largest yet of all of its stores! 

Community

Extreme Tanning prides itself on giving back generously to the community of Barrie.  Each year Extreme Tanning donates hundreds of gift certificates, gift baskets, lotions etc. to community groups, charitable causes and fundraisers.  If you would like to request a donation for your cause or event, click HERE.
